Women's stunning antique silk kimono. Orange silk with colourful butterflies and a subtle background of trees.
Upper lining white silk, lower lining red silk.

Condition: excellent. There is a small patch of marks on the back which are not very noticeable (see photo)
Women's vintage kimono. Background of black and white mix in an irregular tsumugi weave giving a grey colour,
with blue and red geometric patterns in vertical stripes.
Upper lining white silk, lower lining red silk.
Size: Length 153cm. Sleeve to sleeve 124cm. Sleeve length 48.5cm. Shoulder width 58.5cm.

Condition: good. There is a large water mark and some small starch marks on the upper lining.
There is some discoloration to the front and back collar (see photos).
Vintage Japanese tomesode kimono, black with five mon.
Women's tomesode kimono. Black chirimen silk crepe with creamy white soft silk lining.
This is a formal style of kimono, traditionally worn by married women and geisha.
The decoration is found on the lower part of the kimono only.
Design of pine needles floating in a stream, with five omodaka crests (encircled water plantain).
Two mon (crests) on front panels, three on back panels.
Some of the pine needles are edged with gold coloured ribbon.

Women's antique mawata ojiya tsumugi silk kimono. Dark blue silk fabric with woven sarasa flower designs in red and pale blue.
Lining in yellow and pinkish-beige silk.
Excellent condition for its age, some small white spots on lining (see photos).

Women's stunning antique silk kimono. Black silk with red leaves and white berries.
The black silk looks very dark blue in some lights.
There is an embossed pattern of black peony flowers which can be seen when the fabric catches the light.
Upper lining beautiful bright red silk, lower lining pink silk.
Note - the embossed peony pattern has pressed through onto the lining in one place where the kimono has been folded.
This is not a stain or mark on the fabric (see photo).

Tsumugi is a style of weave with a noticeable texture, these are not flaws or damage to the fabric.
