This is a formal style of kimono, traditionally worn by married women and geisha.
The decoration is found on the lower part of the kimono only.
Design of pine needles floating in a stream, with five omodaka crests (encircled water plantain).
Two mon (crests) on front panels, three on back panels.
Some of the pine needles are edged with gold coloured ribbon.

This is a formal style of kimono, traditionally worn by married women and geisha.
The decoration is found on the lower part of the kimono only.
Design of cranes and flowers, with five ageha cho crests (swallowtail butterfly).
Two mon (crests) on front panels, three on back panels.
Red silk three-quarter lining, the decoration extends onto the inside of the kimono
below the lining.

Omeshi weave has crinkled texture and harder feel than some other silk fabrics.

Upper lining pale creamy white silk with turquoise blue gradation at the edges.

Condition: very good. There are some rust marks from the press-stud used to secure the collar
and a few starch spots (see photos).
Women's haori jacket. Black jinken (rayon) fabric embroidered with a pretty Chinese temple design in blue and white thread.
White inner lining with slightly pinkish fan designs.
Size: Length 76cm. Sleeve to sleeve 128cm. Weight approx. 500g.

The pattern is in a silver coloured thread which catches the light beautifully, on a creamy white silk background.
This style of obi is not fully patterned. The section that is not visible in wear is a plain creamy white colour.
Excellent condition and ready to wear.
