Vintage Japanese tomesode kimono, black with five mon.
Women's tomesode kimono. Black chirimen silk crepe with white lining.
This is a formal style of kimono, traditionally worn by married women and geisha.
The decoration is found on the lower part of the kimono only.
Beautiful design of scenes of rural life during the Edo period, picked out with gold-coloured sparkle.
Five tsuta crests (ivy).
Two mon (crests) on front panels, three on back panels.
The upper lining is soft white silk. The lower lining and collar lining is white silk crepe.

Men's vintage silk kimono. Lightweight brown silk with uroko pattern of red, dark blue and cream triangles and plain dark blue lining.
The uroko pattern is designed to resemble snake or fish scales.

3D Lithophane Print of "The Kabuki Actor Onoe Matsusuke I" by Toyokuni c.1799.
Translucent curved print of the famous woodblock print "The Kabuki Actor Onoe Matsusuke I".
This is a free-standing 3d print which has a 3d etched effect when back lit.
The print looks best when lit from behind by bright daylight, eg. on a window ledge, or by a nightlight (not supplied).
A separate lithophane stand can be added as an extra.
These are individually printed in the UK by us at the Kimono Garden.

Please only use artificial nightlights as proximity to hot flames will damage the print.
3D prints are built up in layers. There will be some visible layering due to the nature of the printing process.
Care of your print: do not expose to extremes of high or low temperatures or humidity.
Warning: Fragile! These are very thin prints in order to let light pass through and as such they are delicate.
The print can break if dropped or subjected to force.
