Antique Japanese men's haori with design of a dragon and tiger.
Men's haori jacket in light grey textured tsumugi silk.
The design is a dragon and tiger in front of a mountain, picked out in gold colour.
There are no hino ties attached.
As there are several discoloured marks on the outside, this haori would be less suitable for wearing
and more suitable for decorative display or crafting materials.
Note - the colour is pale grey, some photos have a more purple tint from the light.

Size: Length 91cm. Sleeve to sleeve 136cm. Sleeve length 49.5cm. Shoulder width 65.5cm.

Condition: varied/fair.
The design panel is in good condition, with a few small marks.
The outside of the haori has several discoloured marks (see photos)

Men's haori jacket. Dark brown tsumugi silk fabric in lightweight oshima tsumugi weave with design of cooking pots on lining.
Brown and yellow patterned himo ties attached (not tied)

Condition: good. There are some small holes and damage to inside lining on sleeve (see photos)
The silk is quite delicate.

Men's haori jacket. Dark blue tsumugi silk fabric in heavyweight rough-textured weave with with a handpainted design of a rural farmhouse and volcanic mountain on inner lining.
Dark blue silk himo ties attached (not tied).

Women's haori jacket. Black silk with an attractive white Chinese landscape and waterfall design on front and back panels.
Lining - white silk patterned with pink fans.
White hima cords attached.

Men's haori jacket. Black silk fabric with a design of house and landscape pictures on beige inner lining.
This is an antique item which is in reasonable condition for its age.

Size: Length 98cm. Sleeve to sleeve 124cm.

Condition: fair. Some small holes in outer and inner fabric. Wear on shoulder seams.

This haori has been shortened by turning up the hem at some time in the past and there is a line of some damage to the fabric where this stitching has been subsequently removed. (See photos.)

Men's haori jacket. This is a dark blue tsumugi silk fabric with shogunate parade design on inner lining.
Note - the layout of the fabric means the design is upside-down on the inner front panels.
Himo ties attached - non-matching, one blue and one purple, not tied.

Design on the inner lining is a landscape with a small building and bridge.
The edges are picked out in a gold colour which has a lovely sparkle where it catches the light.
